AuGF queries NBET over ‘mismanagement of N50b’ in Escrow Account

The Auditor General of the Federation (AuGF), Mr. Anthony Ayine, has queried the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) Plc for allegedly mismanaging N50 billion in an Escrow Account.

The query is contained in the 2015 audit report current before the Senate Committee on Public Accounts.

ACF, Afenifere clash as row deepen over herders quit order

A furious Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) warned on Saturday that continued attacks on herders in the Southwest may trigger a civil war in the country.

It asked the federal government and the Southwest governors to step in immediately and stop what it called the drift.

Woman strikes husband to death with shoe heel in Delta

 

A yet-to-be identified woman on Saturday morning struck her husband to death with the heel of her shoe in Ugbuwangue community, Warri, Delta State.

The deceased, identified as Etsebanghanro Ighomi, was a father of two children, information on his Facebook page suggests.
