NIMC licences Telecommunications companies to register Nigerians for NIN

Telecommunications companies have been licensed to register people who do not have National Identity Numbers so as to reduce the large crowds at the offices of the National Identity Management Commission, the NIMC has said.

Horror as mum kills 5-year-old daughter by gouging out her eyes and eating her tongue

A mum has been arrested for killing her own five-year-old daughter by gouging out her eyes and then cutting out and eating her tongue.

Josimare Gomes da Silva, 30, was arrested after police were called to her home in Alagoas, Brazil on January 24 following the horrific ordeal.

Pa Anthony Olaye, on Tuesday approached the Edo state judicial panel of inquiry for victims of SARS and related abuses, demanding for the sum of N40 million as compensation for the one-storey-bungalow housing the Ugbekun Police Station, which was razed by hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protest last year.

EFCC arrests 13 suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 13 suspected internet fraudsters. 

This is contained in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Wilson Uwajuren and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Ibadan. 

Security agents clash with Shiites again in Abuja

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shiites, clashed with the Police in Abuja this evening.

The clash occurred near Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
