260 Cadillac cars for Zamfara monarchs

Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle on Wednesday, in Gusau, distributed 260 vehicles to traditional rulers in the state.

The flag-off was performed by the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar lll.

Reject PDP if party jettisons zoning, lawyer tells Southeast voters

ABUJA-based lawyer and former senatorial candidate for Imo East in 2019 elections Mr Chyma Anthony has urged Southeast voters  to reject Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if it does not zone its presidential ticket to the South.

Anthony, in a statement yesterday in Abuja, accused PDP of trading the interest of the South and, in particular, the Southeast, which have been its loyal supporters since 1999.

CBN to Nigerians: beware of dubious financial institutions

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday warned Nigerians to beware of fraudulent financial institutions moving around to dupe them.

It also urged the citizens to insist on seeing the licences recognized by CBN if dubious elements approached them, to avoid falling victim.

Defense lawyers yesterday concluded cross-examination of the second prosecution witness in the trial of a musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, who is facing cyber-crime charges.

The second prosecution witness, Mr Augustine Anosike, is a forensic analyst, who began evidence in 2021.
