Among the Ukrainian refugees arriving in Belgium are 600 unaccompanied minors. In order to register them administratively they need to be assigned legal guardians, according to Belgian law.

Italian organizations send aid to Poland to help Ukranians
The Milan Fair Foundation and the Arca Project Foundation have collected over 100 tons of essential goods for Ukrainian refugees. Trucks departed for Poland earlier this week.

Greece: 64 asylum seekers rescued from Evros
Greek police have reportedly rescued a group of asylum seekers, among them 10 children from a tiny island in the Evros river. This comes days after a woman was shot dead at the river separating Turkey from Greece.
German court: Deportation orders are valid even if deportees face long-term destitution
Germany’s Federal Administrative Court has ruled that the key factor in validating a deportation ban is whether deportees will be able to secure their subsistence level "for a foreseeable period" upon return; but it is not legally important whether this is possible on a "sustained basis or even permanently."

In it, angels were singing hossanah and, from what I could glean, it had to do with a recent event of unprecedented proportion. Now, it looks to me that the reason for the joyous mood is not unconnected to a great event that happened in our Federal Capital Territory recently, which we had had a hint of some weeks before it took place.
