More than 300 migrants cross Channel after an 11-day lull

The UK government has confirmed that 254 migrants crossed the Channel in seven small boats on Sunday, May 1, after an 11-day pause in crossings. More than 100 are reported to have arrived already on May 2.

One dead as Spain extends closure of land border with Morocco

The body of a man, believed to be a young migrant, was found on Saturday close to one of the seawalls in the port of Melilla, said the Moroccan Human Rights Association. The news came as Spain announced it would extend the closure of the borders between its enclaves and Morocco for at least 15 more days.

The atelier's spring-summer 2022 collection's clothes are made from fabrics donated by major international fashion houses.

Canary Islands: 25 feared dead as migrants' boat capsizes

Around 25 people -- including several babies -- are feared dead after their boat capsized in the Atlantic Ocean off Spain's Canary Islands on Monday. The Spanish coast guard rescued 36 people from the stricken dinghy.
