While fans no longer faint for musicians RudeBoy

Singer Paul Okoye popularly known as RudeBoy has said social media overexposed has stripped musicians of their star power and mystique.

Speaking in a recent interview with Lun lifestyle TV, the former P-Square member argued that while social media has expanded artists which it has also created a culture of 'see-finish' eradicating the god-like image musicians once enjoyed.

According to him constant content creation on platforms like Tiktok and Instagram has killed the excitement and anticipation that used to surround music video releases and public appearances.

Music videos Somehow now, because of this generation is a waste of money. I am sorry to say this but do you remember us [P- Square] before?  You don't see us anywhere you just watch music videos you see us and that's it Or we come to your country you see us Okoye stated.

He noted that the reason fans no longer faint when they encounter artist is because they see them daily online dancing and promoting their songs

The reason you don't see people faint for artists anymore is because they see them on Tiktok every day dancing and promoting your music. if Michael Jackson was alive now and doing promotional content on social media, nobody would see him and faint he added.

The 'Reason with me' crooner further lamented that artists are now under pressure to constantly share intimate details of their lives online, adding that privacy has become almost impossible.

"Unfortunately it's too late for us to bring back the era of artists being Mystiques. How can you advise an artist to post every day? how? post what? you don't need to

"Social media brought positive change to the industry but it also led to 'see-finish'. Artists are now too exposed. Fans see how they eat and cry. Before when artistes go to club, they stay in restricted VIP areas but now when they are clubbing, everyone is filming, "he said.
